About Jennifer Chen, M.D.
Cardiology constantly evolves in its ability to diagnose and manage heart disease, thereby improving people’s health and lives. My goal is to apply these advances to the health of individual patients wisely and compassionately.
Dr. Chen grew up in Great Neck, New York. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University, and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center, followed by her Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She then pursued an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at Columbia University, where she received dedicated training in echocardiography (including transesophageal and interventional echocardiography) and Nuclear Cardiology (including cardiac SPECT and PET). She joined the Cardiology Division at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2017.
In addition to adult echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Chen maintains an outpatient clinical practice in general Cardiology.
Dr. Chen is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, as well as a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
